Meine Oscars...

Jo, jetzt wird es mal Zeit, dass ich meine Wunschliste für die Academy Awards verbreite... Mögen die Members der Academy meinen Blog lesen und sich meinen Vorschlägen anschliessen... und da die wenigsten Members des Deutschen mächtig sind - that makes me switch to English...

Ladies and Gentlemen... my winners are:

Best Picture:
- "Little Miss Sunshine" should win -it's the most original film of all nominees
"The Departed" is just a remake that just copies / I can't stand any more patriotic war movie like "Letters from Iwo Jima" / "Babel" is good, but not good enough and anyways, Crash -last year's winner- is a similar kind of picture / Who cares what some filmmakers think what Liz 2 thought when Lady Di died
I am afraid that "Letters..." will win :-(

Best Actor:
I'd treat Ryan Gosling to the Oscar, as I don't like an of the other performances (Leo DiCaprio, Peter O'Toole, Will Smith, Forest Whitaker)

Best Actress:
Helen Mirren should win, cuz her performance ist just great and Judi (Dench) has one already / Meryl was by far not good enough to win / Who does Pen Cruz she thinks, she is?!? That a fake booty will earn her an AcadAward?! / Kate (Winslet) has so many more years to come and proove to be worthy

Best Actor in Support:
Well Alan Arkin (Li'l Miss Sunshine) of course / Forget the others!

Best Actress in Support:
Forget Cate Blanchett, Jeniffer Hudson and Rinko Kikuchi / I am afraid that it wouldn't do Abigail Breslin (the Li'l Miss) any good if she won /And that's why Adriana Barraza earned the Oscar for "Babel"

Best Director:
Either Alejandro Gonzáles Inárritu for "Babel" or Paul Greengrass for "United 93" / neither Queen Stephen F., nor Old Martin S. (he copycatted too much from Infernal Affairs), nor patriotic Pal Clint are in for the big one

Best original Screenplay:
Cut "Babel, "The Queen" and "Letters from..." / The only real contenders are "Li'l Miss Sunshine" and "Pan's Labyrinth"

Best foreign language film:
I'd like to award Florian for "The Lives of Others (Das Leben der Anderen)" but am afraid that Guillermo will win with "Pan's Lab" / Forget the rest!

The race is on to predict the winners with *Schnurzel far ahead :-D
